lyrics

Slipping down slowly,
All the way to the floor,
I catch myself on the sideboard,
I nearly keel over,
Maybe I should say yes,
Maybe I should say no,
My head's fucked but I digress,
Which way to go I do not follow,

But I couldn't be without you,
Because we are the same,
And I can't stand the sound of you,
When you use our name,

All these trains of things in my brain it seems are starting to sting and stain,
No remorse only pain all same but so different, wide away and I'm drifting,
Through the mist and the rain, what will it take to prove to myself that I'm sane only the vain believe what they see in a mirror,
Will save the day,
And so many wait for some saviour or superman,
To come down with holed hands and,
Clean the fat from the frying pan well he's not coming down,
No matter how many holy man's words I swear and I curse,
Because with the size of their purse they could put food in the belly of thousands,
Hundreds of thousands force to eat sand and the sound of their suffering goes unnoticed by deity,

But I couldn't be without you,
Because we are the same,
And I can't stand the sound of you,
When you use our name,

They're the fat cats and we're their lab rats,
Another politician lining his pockets for things he doesn't need to play the superficial competition,
Materialistic greed,
We must now fight for our right to be free,
Sometimes they hide the truth but it's there to be found if you would only have a look,
You see the people with power are the owners of the world,
Not the bankers lawyers corporate thugs that's not who I mean no,
I say the power is the people's and as one we must amass,
If our stay on this Earth is ever going to last,
No division through colour creed or belief come on people change is here it's time to turn that new leaf live for peace,

A lot of what we see and hear,
Created far away not near,
Controlling the money sum,
Whilst sending our troops away with their guns,
To fight a war not needed though,
Create a conflict you can create some dough,
Seeds of fear and greed they sew,
But we can live in peace you know,
Even just take a week off war,
Poverty numbers would drop for sure,
Let's focus our efforts on the bigger things,
And stop playing soldier for princes and kings,
We are the ones to stop this getting worse,
Say don't fight for your country no,
Fight for your Earth,

But I couldn't be without you,
Because we are the same,
And I can't stand the sound of you,
When you use our name,
