Rocks Of Lime

from Chameleon Tree by Wilf Stone

/

about

Those immortal nights of campfires, people, stars, smoke and rivers.

lyrics

And so we sit,
And so we sing,
And pass another smile around the ring,
Our way of taking time,
Now we're sitting here on rocks of lime,
And the waters of the Tyne,
Are running on by,

So we sit in our circle around the fire,
Talk of our dreams our young thoughts and our desires,
One day in the future when we are all rich,
We'll buy a big house where we can all live,
I'll do the garden you the woods and trees,
We'll hire a cook for all our culinary needs,
But seemingly these dreams are naught but simple needless needs to me,
Give me a riverside underneath a canopy of trees,
With my friends,
Some music,
And a little mischief,

And so we sit,
And so we sing,
And pass another smile around the ring,
Our way of taking time,
Now we're sitting here on rocks of lime,
And the waters of the Tyne,
Are running on by,

And so we sit,
And so we sing,
And pass another smile around the ring,
Our way of taking time,
Now we're sitting here on rocks of lime,
And the waters of the Tyne,
Are running on by,
